Recently spun off from a larger structure, the company is now an independent company building an international presence in the meaningful field of Diagnostics. Professional management of the, global, Supply Chain, is a key-factor in the success of the company. This is why we are looking to strengthen the SC-function by appointing a Senior Specialist Strategic Procurement.

As Senior Specialist you will be the primary point of contact for the suppliers. Internally, you will advise the Leadership Team and create and execute procurement plans. You will be minimizing the financial and operational exposure, at the same time optimizing working capital and total cost of ownership. You will combine helicopter-view with hands-on involvement, and you will actively contribute to the growth, business continuity and profitability of our client. Your primary focus will be with the Dutch entity (in the Eastern part of The Netherlands), and you’ll have an advisory and support role to the French entity.

Your key responsibilities

• Advise and support the management in shaping and actively implementing procurement plans

• Proactively manage risks and play a key role in designing and safeguarding financial and operational stability & company wellbeing (incl. optimization of working capital, profitability and total cost of ownership)

• Analyse market trends and prices and translate them to saving opportunities

• Supplier management incl. selection, audits, qualification and vendor rating

• Negotiations and RFQ process

• Contract management incl. drafting framework contracts

• Proactive management of blanket orders and financial commitments

• Obsolescence and change management

• Alignment with production planning and operational procurement

• Manage information and follow processes in the ERP system

• Hands-on support and pro-active contribution

• Support of the QMS (ISO).

Your profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree.

• Strong negotiation skills and cross-cultural communication.

• Demonstrable international experience in a similar (senior) procurement position.

• Experience in medical environment is a pre

• Experience with ERP systems (e.g., Business Central) and excellent Excel skills.

• Fluency in Dutch and English; French is a plus.

• Hands-on and pro-active mentality, strong analytical skills and ability to translate facts into a concrete advice.
